This treatment method is also appreciated for its ability to restore not only the upper visible part of the tooth, but also the root itself. Today, it is one of the most advanced technologies for restoring tooth function without grinding or otherwise damaging nearby teeth. Vingis Clinic uses only the highest quality dental implants that have earned the trust of both doctors and patients. With the help of dental implants, patients regain not only a flawless smile, but also a comfortable life and self-confidence.
What are the advantages of dental implants?
- Dental implants are durable and long-lasting. They can last a lifetime because they are made from a highly durable material – titanium.
- Implants make people feel more natural and better than conventional dental bridges or plates.
- Implants are placed in the place of the lost tooth to stop the deformation of the jaw, the bite and the surrounding teeth.
- You can eat normal food. With dental implants, you won’t feel pain or discomfort when chewing even hard food.
- Improved oral hygiene. Because dental implants do not use traditional crowns with bridges, you can easily clean between the teeth and remove food debris.
- Dental implants keep the jaw active and prevent bone loss.
- Unlike dental bridges, dental implants do not require grinding of nearby healthy teeth. The artificial tooth is attached to the implant itself. This can prevent bone loss under the dental bridge, as well as possible failure of the surrounding supporting teeth.
- Dental implants are one of the most successful procedures. On average, it is successful in 95-98% of patients.
- Dental implants can be used to replace removable dentures or to stabilise removable dentures.
- Dental implants can be used to support a fixed bridge.
- In some cases, dental implants are the only solution to have stable teeth, for example when a person has lost a lot of teeth.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small metal screw that is surgically threaded into the jawbone. This is how we replace the lost tooth root. Dental implants are usually made of titanium. This metal is the most suitable for the human body: it does not cause allergic or rejection reactions, and it grows perfectly into the jawbone. The human body accepts this substitute as its own tissue.
After the implant procedure, a permanent crown is placed on the implant 6-12 weeks afterwards, which does not differ in function or appearance from the natural tooth. This way, any loss can be restored, whether it is a single tooth or a whole row of teeth.

Dental implants can be threaded into patients of any age whose jawbone is already formed (usually at the age of 18). There is no upper limit, and if you are healthy enough, we can also perform implants in people aged 80-90. Our oldest patient with a successful implant is a 92-year-old Vilnius man! To reduce the risk of potential complications, dental implants should only be placed after the patient has recovered from any illnesses that could adversely affect the outcome of the procedure.
Having “periodontitis” (periodontitis)
. Some people think that implants cannot be placed in periodontitis. Of course you can. First, the disease is stopped from progressing, and then the implantation can be safely performed.
With bruxism (teeth grinding)
. In this case, we would recommend wearing a special protective cap. This helps you keep your dental implants, crowns and natural teeth. The cost of a protective capa is around €150.
Wearing straightening caps, braces
. In most cases, implantation can be performed 3-6 months before the end of the procedure. until the scheduled end of the straightening process.
